Oil Spill

The colours of the rainbow on an oil spill.

When the oil spills in the sea, it creates on its surface the 7 colours of the rainbow; it seems like an attempt to cover what is happening underneath.

The colours of the spectrum are not a sign of the nature anymore and they do not carry metaphors of peacefulness, harmony, hope or the promise for something new, better...

They now become the evidence of disaster, despair, the violation of nature and they nullify the notion of the rainbow.

The figure in the center is trapped and its colour is dark brown, the colour of the oil in the sea.

The 7 colours of the spectrum now

pollute life, pollute hope...pollute the rainbow.
